Scammells Major Grant Recipient Announcement

Adelaide Central School of Art in partnership with Scammells Auctioneers and Appraisers are pleased to announce the recipient of the inaugural Major Scammells Grant, 2013 (Hons) graduate Jess Taylor. This grant provides generous financial support of up to $5,000 for a major new body of work or exhibition.

This grant is unique among our graduate opportunities in that it provides major funding to a graduate from any graduating year. This opportunity, supported by Scammells Auctioneers and Appraisers was created in direct response to the 2019 Graduate Survey outcomes.

Jess Taylor is a sculpture and installation artist, focusing on body-horror and motherhood tropes created in miniature 3D printed tableaus. Jessica exhibits regularly in South Australia, and is also a final-year supervisor in our Bachelor of Visual Art Program.

We are excited to see how this opportunity further develops Jess’ vibrant practice.
