Caitlin Bowe is an emerging artist based in Kaurna Country, Adelaide. Working in the field of sculpture, Bowe utilises textiles and life casting techniques to create visual objects which tie together personal experience and ancestral mythology. Focusing on myths and superstitions from her own Celtic and English ancestry, creating layers of meaning in order to be situated amongst a larger cultural narrative. Employing a Gothic Victorian aesthetic to create beautifully unsettling works which magnify and exaggerate bodily fears.
