Level – Beginner (teens 13 to 17 years)
Learn how to draw people and animals in this Teen Drawing course.
Students will be introduced to a range of fundamental techniques used in traditional observational drawing. Alex will guide students through a range of exercises that will help hone their ability to draw living things from photographs and life.
This course is perfect for beginner to intermediate level students. It will focus on developing technical ability and drawing confidence, equipping students with the necessary skills to create their own successful and creative drawings of people and animals.
Materials required:
Regular A4 or A3 sketchbook, A3 Canson CA Grain Drawing 220gsm Paper Pad, HB, 2B, 4B + 6B graphite pencils, hard eraser, kneadable eraser, charcoal, rag, 2x A1 pieces of cartridge paper.

Alex Beckinsale is an artist and art educator whose work is inspired by strange narratives, folklore, and popular culture. She graduated from Adelaide Central School of Art with a Bachelor of Visual Art (Honours) in 2016. She focuses on figurative art and portraiture, often constructing otherworldly and mysterious situations in her work.
