Lecturer: Hanah Williams
Sat 18 Feb – Sat 1 Apr 1.30pm – 4.30pm (Please note: no class on Sat 11 March – Adelaide Cup long weekend)
Level – Beginners
In this hands-on short course, you will be introduced to a range of relief and intaglio printmaking techniques, including monotype, linocut, woodcut and drypoint. You will learn how to print by hand and with a printing press. You will take home a collection of prints and the skills to continue making in your own studio. This course is eco-friendly and solvent free. All printmaking materials and tools provided.
Materials required:
All printmaking materials included.
Please bring along the following stationary items: pencil/pens, ruler, permanent marker, eraser and sketchbook.
In this course we get inky! Please bring along rubber gloves and a protective shirt or apron.

Hanah Williams is an Adelaide based artist, printmaking educator and graduate of Adelaide College of the Arts, UniSA and the Zea Mays Printmaking School (USA). Her practice focuses on creating unique state prints, print-based installations and using repetition as a means of understanding the human psyche. Hanah’s work delves into the realms of dreams, the human connection to the natural world and investigates the possibilities of what home is and can be. She was a printmaking lecturer at the University of South Australia for six years and teaches eco-aware printmaking workshops throughout Adelaide and regional South Australia. She is currently undertaking a Masters in sustainable and eco-aware printmaking practice.
