TRACK

TRACK

Opening Tuesday 14 February, 6-8pm

TRACK is a group exhibition of local and interstate artists at Adelaide Central Gallery from 20 February – 18 March and is part of the 2017 Adelaide Fringe Festival. The curators, Andrew Purvis and Sasha Grbich, have brought together five exciting contemporary Australian artists to exhibit a range of innovative performative practices through video and photographic works, including Jacobus Capone (WA), Sasha Grbich (SA), Tanya Lee (WA), Jenna Pippett (SA) and Kate Power (SA).

TRACK examines the ways in which artists negotiate the world with their bodies. Some of the performances in the exhibition are tentative and sensuous engagements with place; some are humorous strategies for navigating social, familial and sexual relationships. Each of the performative gestures in the works depicts an artist finding their way, cautiously tracing the contours of their environment.
