Join us on Tuesday 15 February, 6-8pm for the opening of ‘Telling To Move On When It’s Not Over’, a solo exhibition by Max Callaghan.
Max Callaghan is one of South Australia’s most exciting emerging painters. His new solo exhibition, Telling To Move On When It’s Not Over, weaves together multiple distinct strands of the artist’s varied creative practice, including intricate and visually enticing abstract paintings, ceramic objects, and intriguing approaches to installation. Callaghan’s work is by turns soothing and stimulating and deals with complex themes. including the cognitive friction that arises when prevalent assumptions and attitudes come into stark juxtaposition with social, cultural, and historical realities.
Featuring an illustrated catalogue with new poetry by Nicole Clift and writing by Anisha Pillarisetty. Click here to view the catalogue.
